Craig Erickson and band to perform August 11 at Celebration Park

John Yundt and Jon Clingman – two Vinton area businessmen and music lovers from the 1960’s and 1970’s, will be bringing an Iowa musician to Vinton to perform for the public. The Craig Erickson Band concert that was rained out earlier this month has been rescheduled for Thursday, Sept 1, at Celebration Park from 7-10 p.

Riverbottom Ramblers to perform at Farmers Mercantile Hall, Aug. 13

The Riverbottom Ramblers will perform at Farmers Mercantile Hall in Garrison, IA on Saturday, August 13th from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm. Farmers Mercantile Hall is located at 100 West Main St in Garrison. Vinton Palace to host 2D Tuesdays

“Independence Day: Resurgence” opened Friday, July 29 and will run this week through Thursday, August 4, blowing up the Palace silver screen in thrilling RealD 3D every night EXCEPT Tuesday. In order to better serve our patrons who are adversely affected by 3D or just don’t like it, going forward at the Palace we will now show all 3D movies in 2D on Tuesdays only.

Cast prepares for opening of 'Mary Ingalls' in two weeks

“Mary Ingalls – Her Journey," the third year of this home-grown and endearing pageant, is set to open on Aug. 5. Performance dates are August 5 and 6 at 7:00 p.m. and August 7 at 2:00 p.m. All performances are in the Auditorium of Old Main on the Iowa Braille and Sight Saving School campus.

We’ve had a crazy three-dimensional week at the Palace with “Finding Dory.” And now Disney has decreed we hold over our aquatic friends for one more week. “Finding Dory” will play again this week, Friday, July 22 through Thursday, July 28 at 7 pm every night, and Monday, July 25 at 2 pm.

Thirty-seven campers, age 5 – 12 are totally jazzed to share their interpretation of this fairytale musical written by best-selling author Jodi Picoult. Cooling Dancers Win at National Competition

The Cooling Dance Center of Vinton competed June 23, 24, 25, and 26 at the Grand River Center in Dubuque for the Midwest Starz National Finals Dance Competition. There were 41 studios and hundreds of qualifying dancers in attendance. The Cooling Dancers brought home many awards including four high point trophies, a special judge’s award, and one Grand National Runner Up.
